Scal 1 is a true dinosaur compared to 2. 2 is actually almost a new software not just an upgrade. I was completely amazed. Designing multiple object projects, sizing and manipulating your art is so much easier. Get the upgrade as soon as possible. I tend to go back and use SCAL because I still haven't learned the features on SCAL 2. This really helped me a lot.
